Getting back on track...

It’s been awhile since I have posted anything. I promise that I will be more diligent when it comes to getting something on here which accurately reflects what the church is doing.

Many things have happened since my last post. I am edging up on my one year anniversary at Bethany Baptist and the year has been wonderful. My one year anniversary will be on October 15th.

God has given us a solid direction as a church family and we are moving forward together. It is amazing to see God working in the lives of the people in the church. We see great successes and some failures but we are faithful to minister to those who the Lord allows us to have relationships with. I am convinced that if we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and are sensitive to the needs of the people in our community then we will see the benefits of the effort.

We just returned from a mission trip in Houston which was a great blessing for us. 14 people went there to help E. J. Simon Baptist in the 5th Ward of Houston. We did evangelism, had an outdoor revival service, and fed sack lunches at a local homeless day shelter.
