CHRISTmas 2007

This has been a great year for my family.

We have enjoyed the first birthday of our oldest daughter Lauren and the birth of our second daughter Ava.

Things are going great at Bethany Baptist. We had two wonderful services yesterday. The morning service consisted of our adult choir's presentation of "His very own star." This was a great play/music presentation which used the Christmas celebration of a family as the basis for discussing the birth of Christ. The evening service was our candlelight service. It was an amazing time of reflection with scripture reading and beautiful music which exalted the Lord Jesus.

My personal thanks to all who were involved and well done!

As we continue to follow the Lord, we will continue to experience many more great years as we focus on His kingdom and glory.

May God richly bless you this CHRISTmas season.

Blessings,

Pastor Jeff

I've got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart...

One thing that struck me about Jamaica was the level of poverty. We are so blessed in the United States and we don’t even realize it. There are people living in houses which might be condemned if they were here and they still have joy.
This is the first mission trip where I really felt the people had joy in their hearts which comes from the Lord. It would be great if everyone had a chance to travel to a different country and see people living in another context.
Jamaica is very English. They clearly bear the stamp of British colonialism yet they are uniquely a people in their own right.
Glorious times were had in Jamaica and I look forward to going back again.
Maybe you want to go with me next time….no worries....God can do all things.
